ORTHODONTIST

Many of our patients seek treatment to improve their smile so it is not surprising that whitening is a topic that comes up during conversation. Whitening is a great way of improving the aesthetics of your teeth. First of all, a dental check up with your general dentist is a must. This is to ensure that there are no cavities or exposed roots. Bleach is a strong chemical and if there is an opening in the tooth which is not sealed it could potentially damage the teeth and result in excruciating sensitivity.

There are different options when it comes to bleaching depending on your specific needs. Yellow teeth respond the best. The bleach also comes in different concentrations and your dentist will be able to advise you on the best options. It ranges from at home tray bleaching to laser bleaching.

Bleaching during treatment is not advisable. Carried out correctly by a dentist, it is an excellent way of freshening up your smile.
